Laura Calcagno is a licensed insurance professional specializing in commercial property and casualty insurance. She has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years, with experience in commercial and personal lines coverages, claims handling and small business account management. She has a fundamental understanding of complex insurance issues and how to resolve them.
Laura earned an Associate Degree in General Studies form the University of New Orleans. Among her many accomplishments, she was named “Outstanding Customer Service Representative in Louisiana” in 1993 and 2011 by the Certified Insurance Counselors organization, and was recognized by the City of New Orleans as Toastmaster of the Year. She is an active member of The Insurance Professionals of Greater New Orleans, as well as a member of The Friends of St. Henry Church. She services the commercial lines accounts for Marc Eagan and Tim Avegno, in addition to having selected accounts of her own.
Laura has three children and two grandchildren. She and her husband Jimmie live in Algiers.
