John Humphreys is a graduate of Loyola University of the South with a Bachelor of Science and an MBA graduate of Tulane University. He entered the insurance industry in 1991 following a six-year career as a commercial lending officer with two large banking institutions. His insurance career includes extensive training by CNA Insurance Company in sales and commercial lines underwriting and almost twenty years association with Eagan Insurance Agency where he holds the title of Vice President. He has achieved the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
John has attended numerous insurance education programs sponsored by the Independent Insurance Agents of Louisiana, Greater New Orleans Barge Fleeting Association and American Waterway Operators, both in New Orleans and London.
John is an alumnus of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, past president of the Pre-Dental Society at Loyola University, a member of Southern Yacht Club and Bay Waveland Yacht Club, a member of Le Krewe D’Etat and numerous other carnival organizations. John is past President of Carrollton Soccer Association and remains active on their Board of Directors. He is also an active alumnus of De La Salle High School. He and enjoys hunting, fishing, sailing, golf and soccer. He and his two children live in Metairie and maintain a secondary residence in Waveland, Mississippi.
